Description
The inspiration for this gorgeous miniature topiary tree came to Tessa many years ago when she attended a class led by Marjorie, the grandmother of Tessa’s best friend.
Marjorie’s Tree is a beautifully embroidered sphere of flowers, foliage and tiny hidden insects worked in cotton, wool, ribbon and silk, set in a terracotta pot and finished with a ribbon bow.
In this two-day class, Tessa will guide you through the different stitches used to create the flowers across each panel, how to space and balance your design and construct the finished tree.
Measuring just 15cm, it’s a tiny work of embroidered art and suitable for students of all skill levels.
Cost includes morning and afternoon tea and tuition. Kits will include the tiny terracotta pot and will be available to purchase on the first day of class for $175.
