Bobbin Tree – Issue 40

Welcome to July. We’re officially halfway through the year already!
This is the perfect time of year to pause for a moment and reflect on how the first half of the year has been going for us, as well as looking ahead to what the second half has in store.
For some of us it will mean dusting off our New Year’s resolutions and the goals we made back in January and redoubling our efforts.
We hope you had a few successes and victories along the way and are ready to recommit to those that are still on the list.
When it comes to your unfulfilled stitching goals for 2026, we’d love to help you bring them to fruition. With a bit of luck there might even be something in this newsletter that helps you tick a few more things off the list…
Bobbin Tree – Issue 39

We hope you are staying nice and warm and all ready to stitch your way through the wet winter weather ahead. The next few months are the perfect time to stay indoors and catch up on all those WIPs and UFOs.
On the days you are ready to venture out, why not plan a visit to The Bobbin Tree where it’s nice and warm inside and we have everything you can dream of to make this winter a wonderful time with your needle and thread.

Behind every workshop at The Bobbin Tree, there’s a small army of very enthusiastic people – planning, sourcing, packing, printing, and generally making sure that when you walk through the door, everything is just right.
Putting a class together is often a lovely puzzle. We weigh up timing, project styles, tutor availability, and the different rhythms of everyone’s lives – weekday regulars, weekend travellers, weeknight escapees.
We try our best to offer a mix, because we want there to be something just right for you.

Workshop time is here!
Our first two workshops for the year are kicking off this month – both hosted by Tessa Chaplin, the felt ornament guru.
If you have not booked your seat yet, this is your chance. If you’re not sure if Larissa Holland’s Christmas ornaments are your cup of tea – come and join us in May to get a little taster with the Santa & Mrs Claus workshop. You are sure to get hooked!
All the Christmas ornaments from each workshop are now on display at The Bobbin Tree, so pop in in to experience them in real life, and we look forward to seeing you at a workshop soon…
Bobbin Tree – Issue 36

We’ve been promising a full calendar of events, classes, and workshops this year and after many hours of planning, organising, scheduling and rescheduling, today we’re excited to share with you all the wonders that we’ve lined up for you this year.
Bobbin Tree – Issue 35

We have so much going on at The Bobbin Tree this year that if we were to give you a visual of what it’s like to watch us from a distance right now, imagine a scurry of squirrels all darting about, collecting this and that in preparation for what’s coming!
Bobbin Tree – Issue 34

Welcome to first Bobbin Tree newsletter for 2026.
It is a new year, a new season, and the promise of new possibilities!
2026 at The Bobbin Tree is going to be full of exciting classes, workshops, and events which we can’t wait to share with you in the coming weeks and months.
With two brand new Inspirations publications having just arrived in store last week along with stunning displays of all the original projects for you to come in and enjoy, let’s start the year off by telling you all about what’s new…
Bobbin Tree – Issue 33

The last month of the year has officially arrived.
With time running out before yet another year has come and gone, the best thing to do right now is to make every moment count.
Perhaps it’s finishing a project we promised ourselves we’d complete, finding the perfect gifts for friends and family, or simply embracing a mantra of enjoying this season and taking in all the beautiful moments it brings.
However you choose to spend your time this month, we’d love to be part of it and provide an oasis you can visit as often as you wish – a place where we can help make all your Christmas needlework dreams come true.

If you have been in Adelaide any length of time, you will be well versed in the tradition that celebrating Christmas can only begin in earnest once the world-famous Christmas Pageant has rolled through the streets of the city.
As hundreds of thousands of people line up to welcome the arrival of Father Christmas, the Adelaide Christmas pageant is the largest public parade in the southern hemisphere and as you can imagine is quite the spectacle.
With the Christmas pageant on this coming Saturday 8th November, if you’re in town we’d love to see you stop by and say hi in-store.
And once Father Christmas is safely sitting in his Magic Cave, it means we will officially be in festive mode, so let the celebrations begin…

Spring is here!
And right on time – it is show week after all – stormy weather arrived to remind us Mother Nature has a mind of her own.
Here at The Bobbin Tree, however, we’re basking in the glory of spring blooms, flowers, and blossoms galore.
We’ve extended the display of Ana Mallah’s new book In Bloom, along with all her beautiful projects and kits – if you have not had a chance to see it in person, now is the time to visit us.
