Twelve Days Ornament stitch-along workshop, designed by Larissa Holland and presented by Tessa Chaplin.
Run across a series of twelve 2½ hour classes every second Tuesday morning.

Tuition for all 12 classes includes a folder with full instructions for all 15 ornaments with pattern sheets and a handy drawstring bag to house your ornaments once completed.

SALA Event | Catherine Fitz-Gerald
Artist Cathering Fitz-Gerald asked the community, “If fabrics could speak, what story would they tell?”
The wide spectrum of answers she received from across the community resulted in an exhibition and short film which both won recognition during Fringe and SALA 2024.
We are excited and privileged to have Catherine as our very first SALA artist at The Bobbin Tree for a once-off event. During this evening you will get the opportunity to hear Catherine speak about the project, view the film showcasing 18 of the countless fabric stories collected, and get the chance to share your own fabric story.
Attendees are invited to bring a fabric item of sentimental or historical value to share with the group. This is a wonderful participatory event where we will share stories and memories, guided by Catherine.

Workshop | Not Even A Mouse with Tessa Chaplin
Not Even A Mouse Ornament 2-Day workshop, designed by Larissa Holland and presented by Tessa Chaplin.
Not Even A Mouse is a delightful Christmas ornament by Larissa Holland, featuring an irresistibly cute sleeping mouse, snuggled up with his teddy bear and tucked beneath a cosy blanket inside a beautifully detailed teacup.
Join Tessa as she takes you step-by-step through the process of creating your own fabulous hand stitched Not Even A Mouse felt creation. Held over two Saturday’s a fortnight apart, you’ll have plenty of time in between each full day workshop to practice and progress your way through this delightful ornament.
This ornament is part of Larissa Holland’s ongoing ‘Twas The Night’ ornament series and sleepy mouse and teddy are both removable so they can be ceremonially tucked in on Christmas Eve.
Price includes 2 days of tuition, full colour instruction booklet, all the materials required to complete your ornament as well as morning and afternoon tea plus lunch for both days.

Workshop | Embroidered Pots with Ana Mallah
To celebrate the release of her fabulous book In Bloom, for the very first time Ana Mallah will be coming to The Bobbin Tree to hold an exclusive 2-day workshop.
Ana has captivated the needlework world with her stunning stitched blooms and now you can join her in person and learn firsthand how to create some of her most popular creations, the embroidered floral pots.
With the added bonus of choosing your favourite pot, students can stitch either the gorgeous yellow Jonquil Pot or the magnificent Marguerite Daisy Pot and spend an entire weekend with Ana as she teaches you everything from the basics through to expert tips and tricks.
Cost includes morning and afternoon tea plus lunch and tuition. Kits for your selected project will be available to purchase separately closer to time for the special discounted price of $96 for the Marguerite Daisy pot and $105 for the Jonquil pot.
Students will also receive a free copy of the book In Bloom, valued at $69.95.
