Christine inspires us with her incredible knowledge, design expertise and instruction. she was born in Tasmania, but has lived in South Australia for 42 years. She is a life member of The Embroiders’ Guild of South Australia Inc. She has been teaching countless styles of embroidery for many years, has published books, and been featured in many publications. She not only explores unique cultural techniques, but creates gorgeous designs, patterns, and instructions to spread the knowledge and beauty with fellow stitchers. We are very honoured to have Christine teach at The Bobbin Tree.
Christine’s original sampler of the French “Birdcage” Workbox & Accessories are on show at The Bobbin Tree so please come along and have a look at the finished project. The Birdcage has 6 embroidered side panels and is fully lined with wings between the panels so that the shape can open out for easy access. The needlework accessories to go with the “birdcage” feature birds in various styles of counted work i.e. cross stitch, Sorbello knot, tent stitch and the designs completed with double running and four sided stitch. These include a scissor case, needle case, pincushion, scissor fob and stiletto case. Please note that the card attached to the scissors as shown in the photograph is not included in the kit.
Christine plans to complete all of the tacking for you prior to the commencement of the workshop so that you can commence stitching straight away.
